Modern Coastal

Insulated Backyard Office Studio
From $24,000 installed
The Coast Studio is our entry-level insulated backyard office design — and our most flexible. Not bound by historical design elements, it offers maximum freedom for customization: move doors and windows, change roof pitches, swap siding types. It uses the same high-quality materials as our signature studio styles, without sacrificing an ounce of quality.
Large windows in the front with sliding glass or French doors flood the interior with light. The vaulted ceiling gives the Coast an open, airy feel no matter the footprint. Engineered wood beams create a dramatic accent overhead, finished with your choice of Cedar or Pine tongue-and-groove or shiplap in 4" or 6" spacing. All exterior trim is pre-primed 5/4" Cedar for longevity and a proper architectural look.

Classic New England

Saltbox Backyard Studio
From $22,000 installed
The traditional saltbox style has its origins in New England — a true saltbox roof extends back and down with a shorter slope to the front. The flat front allows double windows on each side of the entry door, stacked and symmetrical. We build our Saltbox studios for customers throughout the West Coast and ship prefab kits nationwide.
The design incorporates a split roof at the gable with setting windows that flood the interior with natural light from above. The vaulted ceiling area on the front side adds even more openness. Engineered wood support beams create a dramatic accent, finished with Cedar or Pine tongue-and-groove or shiplap. All exterior trim is pre-primed 5/4" Cedar for longevity and proper architectural detail.

Architectural Edge

Modern Backyard Studio
From $26,000 installed
Modern or Modernist architecture is built on one principle: form follows function. Every part of the Modern studio design has its purpose, and every purpose solves a problem. Sleek lines, cutting-edge siding, and 6' tall corner windows allow full views of the outside while maintaining privacy. The walk-up features an extended front porch for shade, privacy, or shelter from rain.
A vibrant Cedar accent extends from the porch all the way to the front face, softening the overall exterior. Smooth fiber cement siding with aluminum trim strips between panels and stained Cedar T&G in the porch overhang area complete the look. Black vinyl windows and doors reinforce the modern aesthetic. The interior ceiling matches the outside porch wood, creating a continuous flow from exterior to interior.

Warm & Welcoming

Craftsman Backyard Studio
From $22,000 installed
American Craftsman style began in the early 19th century and has endured through restorations, revivals, and interpretive spins. Developed as a reaction to the industrial revolution — a focus on handwork over mass production — our Craftsman studio seamlessly incorporates those design elements into a quaint, character-rich backyard structure.
Three engineered glulam beams run the full length of the structure from front to back — one at the peak, one on each side wall. The vaulted ceiling is finished with Cedar or Pine tongue-and-groove or shiplap, creating a deep, rich wood feel that matches the 3' front overhang outside. Larger trim around doors and windows, natural wood corbels, exposed rafter tails, and handmade dentil molding are just a few of the highlights. Clearstory windows above the door and front windows flood the interior with natural light.
